![]() TER420 (above) is the most globose ("fattest," "plumpest,"... whatever!) Cypraea teres Gmelin, 1791 of nearly 1000 of this species which this collector/writer took from the waters around the island of O'ahu. Shells like that above have usually been named Cypraea rashleighana Melvill, 1888 however, new research has shown this is merely an 'extreme' forma of C. teres.
